MEMBERSHIP DEFINED

Any student/Alumni/Faculty member associated with CSPIT and interested in the objectives of the society can be admitted as a member. Any person interested in the objectives of the society can be admitted as a member. Members of the Society shall be the following categories,


1. Faculty member: Any faculty of CSPIT interested in the objectives of the society can be admitted as a member.


2. Honorary fellow: Potentially resourceful personalities from the academic or industry shall be offered an honorary fellow membership by the president. 


3. Student member: Any student of CSPIT interested in the objectives of the society can be admitted as a member.


4. Alumni member: Any alumni of CSPIT interested in the objectives of the society can be admitted as a member.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

The amount of entrance fee will be prescribed by the governing body on proposal from the Council Members. The entrance fee for Life Membership is Rs. 500/- for Faculty members and Rs. 250/- for Student or alumni members. There is no membership fees for honorary fellows as offered by the president.

CESSATION OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership shall cease by the approval of executive committee:

1. On resignation from membership of the society.

2. On any other breach of the rules of the society.

3. Indiscipline behaviour in the society activities.

GOVERNING BODY DEFINED

1. Executive committee 


A. President (1 Member): Head of the department of Civil engineering or a faculty member of society nominated by head of the department of civil engineering. President will act as head of the Society with all rights to approve the technical or non-technical activities of the society and financial dealings. 


B. Vice-president (1 Member): Is the faculty member of the society nominated by president. Vice-president will have all the rights of president in the absence of president.


C. Secretary (1 Member): Is the faculty member of the society nominated by president. Will act as a coordinating member with executive committee and the student council.


D. Treasurer (1 Member): Is the faculty member of the society nominated by president. Conjointly with the Secretary be in charge of all the monetary transactions of the Society and keep a record of the same. Will maintain all the financial transactions related to the society activity. Represent the Society in all the financial matters


2. Student council 

A. Councillor (1 Member from fourth year B.Tech): Member selected by council body will act as a coordinating authority with executive committee and council body members. Tenure of Councillor will be one academic year and a new Councillor for the next academic year will be selected at the end of every academic year. 


B. Council Body member (6 members): Member selected by the society members. Will have 2 members from each year of 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Tenure of council members will be one academic year and a new council members for the next academic year will be selected at the end of every academic year.

RULES

Rules for Events:


Events are grouped in to the main categories will be conducted as online activity or as campus activity.


Every week two events


Events are announced on first days of week


Submission should be done before 11:59 AM of Saturday

Winner will be announced on Tuesday.


By winning each event will be given a badge from VIBGYOR.


By Collecting all the 7 colour badges in the sub-group will be awarded with prize money Bof Rs 1000/-


Rules for Houses:


All members will be grouped in to Houses and each house will have one leader. Houses of the member will identified by different colors of ID card treads.

STRUCTURE OF SOCIETY

POWERS AND DUTIES OF GOVERNING BODY

1. Duties and powers of the President shall be as follows:

a. To preside at all meetings of the society and of the Executive Committee, and to regulate the proceedings at such meetings.

b. To ensure due effect being given to the regulations made by the Executive Committee.

c. In matters calling for urgent action, the President may adopt such measure as in his discretion the circumstances demand and report his action subsequently to the Executive Committee.

2. Duties and powers of Vice-President shall be as follows:

a. The Vice-president will assist the president for all practical purposes and will perform the duties of the president in the absence of the president

b. In the absence of the President, meetings of the society may be presided over by Vice-President. In the absence of the President, the Executive Committee may designate Vice-Presidents to perform the functions of the President.

3. Duties and powers of the secretary shall be as follows.

a. To conduct the correspondence of the Society and of the Executive Committee. 

b. To attend the meetings of Society and of the Executive Committee. To take minutes of the proceedings of such meetings during their progress. 

c. To exercise general supervision over the staff and affairs of the society.

d. Execute the programs of action decided upon by the Society and act as a Chief Executive Officer of an organization.

4. The duties and powers of the Treasurer shall be as follows:

a. Conjointly with the Secretary be in charge of all the monetary transactions of the Society and keep a record of the same.

b. Represent the Society in all the financial matters.

5. The duties and powers of the Student council shall be as follows:

a. Initiate, organize and supervise the activities of the Society

b. Collect funds for the Society by way of memberships, donations, grants, gifts etc.

FINANCIAL RIGHTS OF GOVERNING BODY

1. Secretary/Treasurer/Vice-President: Can approve a financial transaction up to Rs. 500/- 


2. Vice-president: Can approve financial transactions of Rs. 500/- or more in the absence 

of president. 


3. President: All financial transactions. 


4. Councillor/Council Member: No financial rights. 

SUBGROUPS WITHIN THE SOCIETY

Members of the society will be divided in to subgroups will know as HOUSE. House will be

formed in a random selection by the student council. Each house will be given names and headed by a group leader. All types of competitions will be awarded credits will be calculated in terms of house.

SOURCES OF INCOME AND UTILISATION OF FUNDS

The Funds of the society shall consist of: Donations, Grants from University or other interested parties, charges from the events and sponsorship. The Executive Committee may authorize the secretary or Treasurer or any other member of the Executive Committee to keep in hand such amount in cash as may be considered necessary for day to day expenses.
