Earthquake Engineering
Earthquake Engineering Laboratory is developed to provide experimental understanding
of structural dynamics and hands on experience with modern laboratory equipment’s.
Experiments are quite effective for demonstrating basic concepts in structural dynamics
and earthquake engineering.Concepts in dynamics such as natural frequencies and
mode shapes can clearly be portrayed during such experiments. After having clear
understanding, the behaviour of structures subjected to earthquakes, it is easy to modify
the dynamic characteristics of the test specimens, selected different earthquake inputs
and measuring and analysing structural responses.
